Happy Chinese New Year! 新年快乐!恭喜发财!万事如意!事事顺利!鼠年快乐!
Sunday, Feb 03
Went to Sentosa. I just simply miss the Sun so much!!!! But the Sun didn't came out!!!! Yikes... It's the 3S missing 1!!! We've got the Sea, Sand but no Sun!!! It's raining and raining for a long long time... And with that rain, it really turns everyone moody... We wanna tan but no Sun!!
A few days before 6th Feb
Basically, it's just work. Well, kinda worrying about no food. There is not much food stall in the canteen next to our building. Which is, probably the only canteen around the area... There is a cafe though, but it's really expensive. A few days ago got shocked when the whole fruit stall is removed! That means, no fruits... Only left with 5 stalls. And I think they are not gonna open on new years' eve. Yikes!
New Year's eve, 6th Feb
Got half day work. So not to worry about food! Hee! Meet up with Banana, Sea banana and Fang-er for lunch at Chinatown! YEAH!!!!
Chinatown! The hottest place for Chinese New Year! Well, I ran away 1 and a half hour earlier from work. Oops... And I'm still late to meet up with Mig to get the DVDs. After that, went Chinatown. Ate la mian, quite not bad ah! Then, shop!!!
Haha... got to the Taiwanese Mocchi! Muahaha!!! They are selling 2 plastic bags for $5, so I shared with Fang-er. And Banana got 2 packs!!! Woahaha! Then, we snatch!!!! But we didn't trained enough, must learn from those aunties! Use elbow and whack then snatch and slap and push! Muahahaha!!!! Cool eh?
It's so hard to get Love Letters (It's a rolled up egg biscuits). Well, mum couldn't find the Love Letters in Prime supermarket or Sheng Siong, it's all sold out! So she called me to buy them. Looked all around the streets but can't find those packed in big boxes one. So, end up found those packed in tin boxes. Well, better than nothing, so just buy first. Then next to it, there's stall selling the titbits, haven't got those, so just randomly choose, but just gotta get my sis's favourite kuah bangkit. And I randomly choose the other 2 flavours, because they are selling 3 for $10!!! Not very cheap yet... But funny thing is, it's a pretty lady speaking in English. Well, it's Chinese new year after all, so I kinda find those uncles shouting in Mandarin or Hokkien brings the New Year spirit up though it gets a bit irritating after they kept repeating the same words over and over again.
Those uncles are really cool! They have some really funny and interesting ideas this year. Well, they wore orange long hair wigs, green hair wigs then wear sunglasses then say, "Hi, I'm from Taiwan...." Didn't managed to hear the rest... They are trying to mimic some stars or something. There are also alot of cheers!
Then next, it's to the Ba Gua shop. Went to 美珍香 to get Fan-er's Ba Gua. And now there's a new flavour! Cheese on Ba Gua!!!
Okay, after buying all the new year goods, grab Fang-er and make her buy new clothes since she haven't bought any. So, made her try alot of clothes, like... dress!!!! But still, she end up buying jeans only... Hehe... At least made her tried, Banana should have took a photo of her. Well, but I guess we are just too tired...
Then, walked around a bit, got the thai coconut!!!! And it's so so so NICE!!!! Cooling! And off to the MRT station.
Went to my grandparents' house to have dinner! Then again, played with the cute little dog. Haha... Very very playful!! He kept chewing my jeans. And I just found out that he can walk with his 2 front legs... Haha.
Then, Ah ma gave us lots of new year titbits after that! Phew! Luckily, we didn't buy too much this year. So, went back home.
Chinese New Year, 7th Feb
Went to mum's side of the family first to have lunch. My other cousins are late. So, we ate steamboat first, good thing is, they get to drink a more tastier soup! Hehe. Ah po was so nice! She cooked the food and went to bought nice food!!! Then after lunch, my cousins are still not here yet. When we were about to leave, they just reached, so we let them have their lunch while we go visit our other relative first. So, just chit chat and wait till they catch up.
So next stop is from Toa Payoh to Ang Mo Kio. ARGH!!! Then, on the way, this speeding CISCO van brushed through my dad's car. It's New Year and this just had to happen... The guy sorta threaten my dad, saying he's gonna press charges and blah blah blah... Well, my dad's car got more damaged! And, there is signal to go to the left lane, but the guy just dash through and he just talk big. It's a super minor accident after all. No injuries and no big damage to any vehicle, just a tiny winy scratch of paint on the van and more scratches and a slight dent in my dad's car.
In any case, there is no need to go to the police station, we didn't know, so just report anyway. But fortunately, the policeman is a friendly guy! He explained everything. Even if reported, there will be no investigation as well. He helped us called the traffic police for clarifications as well. Haha... So, my dad made a report anyway, just in case. Well, luckily, we have nice relatives that explain and help us solve the problems. Phew...
The policeman also said, there is no need to report if there is no one injuried, no government property. And, regarding government property, the trees on the roadside is also considered. There was once a nice uncle went to report that he crashed into a tree, then, the next day, he recieved a fine of $17,000!!!! I suddenly felt that being a government tree is pretty not bad as well... It's worth so much!
After that, continue with New year visiting. My grandparents have been waiting for a long time for dinner to start. Oops... Then again, mum and dad explain the whole thing over again. And yep, it's like after the accident, they have been talking about it... Well, can't blamed though...
Haha... after dinner, the dog was jumping and playing around again. He is really good at standing with 2 legs... Haha... Cute. But he chew my hand... Yikes! All his saliva...
Okay, so back home. Got really tired. Went to bath. It's kinda scary, can't really get my contact lens out for some reason... Well, managed to get it out after a long time... Argh...
Well, ate the mocchi when i got home... it's curry flavour... The taste is... er... Haha...
I think I really fell into deep sleep. And I really slept for quite a long time today... I dun know why but somehow my left wrist kinda feels weird...
Remember this from a book...
Somewhere out there in that great universe of untapped ideas, there is something new waiting for me to discover it.
The challenge is to believe in yourself.
The vase expanse of emotional ooze that resides inside you is proprietary and unique.
